Polyester-cotton greige fabric is a textile made by blending polyester and cotton in a certain ratio, commonly 65% polyester and 35% cotton. It combines the wear resistance of polyester with the comfort of cotton, featuring dimensional stability, low shrinkage rate, and easy washing and quick drying. However, it has drawbacks such as easy oil stain absorption and static electricity generation, and its breathability decreases as the polyester content increases.
This fabric is classified into T/C (higher polyester content) and CVC (higher cotton content) based on the blending ratio, with plain weave and twill weave as the main weaving methods. Plain weave greige fabric is lightweight and wear-resistant, while twill weave greige fabric is thick and glossy. The polyester content affects performance: breathability is poor when content exceeds 80%, and cotton characteristics dominate when below 20%.
