Cotton-polyester grey fabric

Polyester-cotton greige fabric is a textile made by blending polyester and cotton in specific proportions, with a common ratio of 65% polyester to 35% cotton. It combines polyester’s abrasion resistance with cotton’s comfort, offering dimensional stability, low shrinkage, and easy washing and quick drying. However, it tends to attract oil stains and generate static electricity, and its breathability decreases as the polyester content increases.
This fabric is categorized into two types based on its blend ratio: T/C, which has a higher polyester content, and CVC, which features a higher cotton content. The weaving techniques predominantly include plain weave and twill. Plain-weave greige fabrics are lightweight and durable, while twill greige fabrics are heavier and exhibit a strong luster. The polyester content significantly affects performance: when it exceeds 80%, breathability diminishes, whereas below 20%, cotton‑dominated characteristics prevail.
